10 Questions with Morgan James

Morgan James is a talent that can’t be ignored. She is an actor, singer, and songwriter who graduated from The Juilliard School in New York City in 2003. Since then, she has gone on to be a part of 4 Broadway shows, and released 5 albums, including her latest, Memphis Magnetic in 2020. We were able to chat with Morgan about her myFanPark store and a few fun questions too!

When did you join myFanPark?

I joined in the summer!

What's your favorite interaction you offer?

I love the a capella song option—fans can choose any song and I’ll sing it a capella for them. I get very fun requests

Have you ever had a crazy interaction with a fan?

Not yet!

What's your favorite part about connecting with fans?

My fans are the sweetest. And as an independent artist, connecting with fans is what keeps my whole business alive. I love getting to know my fans!

Why do you think it's so important to connect online since we have moved into a virtual world?

It was always important, and now it’s all we have without live shows. Thankfully people still need and want music!

Fun questions!!!

What are you listening to right now?

A couple of my desert island albums: Sade “Lovers Rock” and Stevie Nicks “Wild Heart”

If you could have coffee with any of the characters you've played, who would it be and why?

Wednesday Addams would probably be the most interesting haha

Do you sing in the shower?

What's a misconception about you?

That I am wealthy or that anything in my career comes easily to me. I fight and work very hard on this long game path I’m on

What's the last book you read?

“Good Morning, Destroyer of Men’s Souls” by Nina Renata Aron

Bonus question!

What's your biggest hope for 2021?

I hope we can return to touring and live events—safely! I miss traveling and experiencing other cultures. I know we all need the arts to be thriving again—i want that more than anything!
